Dear Ancestors,

Your tombstones stand among the rest..... sometimes neglected and alone.
The names and dates are chiseled out on polished marbled stone.

They reach out to all who are..... it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that we exist, you died and we were born.

Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our hearts contract and beat a pulse entirely not our own.

Your thoughts and mannerisms, the way you walked and talked so long ago,
You've willed to us by genes and blood, and our looks from head to toe,

The place you filled so many years ago, spreads out among the ones you left,
who would have loved you so..... We promise never to forget....

I wonder how you lived and loved. And yes I wonder if you knew,
that someday I would find this spot and come to visit you.

If you are an Oxenrider or anywhere in the ancestry with a name variation you are invited to sign up and add your branch of the family. Upload all the photos you like in .jpg format. You may download your family history as a .pdf file for safe keeping or printing, complete with photos. Then, download again later as details of others are filled in.

To request full access, click on 'Sign In' at the top and then click on 'Request new user account'....

To switch to the 'Carmichael' side of the family, hover your mouse over 'Welcome' near the top left of this page and click 'Carmichael'...

One other note. When viewing any page of an individual, be sure and click on 'ALL' so you will see all the photos and information, etc..... otherwise, they will remain hidden.

To guard the privacy of living individuals we do limit all but the name of the individual in the tree to be shown to the general public. If you are a member of the family, contact me at KenOxenrider@CompanyDesigns.Net about being authorized to view all and edit your branch of the family. As a registered, authorized user, you will be able to view all photos and information. We never allow physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers or the like for anyone with the exceptions of grave sites and former towns of deceased people. We do include dates and places of birth and death and such to authorized users.
